I believe in tailor made trainings for companies (I work both in Polish and English). Each company faces individual difficulties, that is why I believe its best to meet and talk about you specific needs, in order to design a training that will best suit you requirements.

I specialize in topics that are connected with the broadly understood INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION AND ALL DIFFICULTIES THAT MAY ARISE WHILE WE USE IT… Unfortunately schools teach us how to use proper syntax, or to building our vocabulary, studies tech us technical skills required in our jobs, law sets up the legal frames for our actions and decisions, but THESE ARE ACTUALLY EMOTIONS THAT STIR UP PROBLEMS IN COMPANIES, AND DON’T LET US WORK IN PEACE because… “Other people are difficult to cooperate with” – and nobody has ever told us how to manage them, except, maybe, for telling us not to show them, even though we are experiencing them, which is a very unfortunate advice.

Working with teams I teach them how to peel emptions off the “theories” we have collected all through our lives from kindergarten till now. I teach how to rationalize the thoughts resulting from stress, haste, upbringing, experiences and all kinds of fears, that accompany us every day – will I mange, will the boss be angry, will the workers let me down, will I make it on time, how to find time for my family in this hectic life, and many, many more.

I teach about how brain interprets the world around us, how our own mind can mislead us, and distort the reality around us. I remember once my clients (big international company) asked me to teach them assertiveness techniques – they had expected, that I would teach them tricks, or manipulation techniques, that I would give them ready made answers – how to corner a boss or a colleague with an eloquent answer – they had thought that assertiveness was actually aggression cleverly disguised as diplomacy. Instead I taught them to understand what is going on in their heads when they need to be assertive. I taught them how to stay calm, despite the fact that we don’t like the situation, how not to feel aggression and simultaneously be able to stand up for themselves. When they understood it – they needed no more tricks to be assertive.

A popular problem that I observe in international companies or companies that need to co-operate with other nations is understanding the nuances of different communication styles in different languages. Being fluent in English is not enough to make a positive relationship with our foreign colleague or client. If we used English the same way as Polish there is a good chance that an answer that was meant neutral from a Polish perspective could be interpreted as aggressive or arrogant in English, because Polish and English have different politeness techniques.

This is what I do – I CHANGE THE PERSPECTIVE – because when the perspective changes everything around changes as well.

If you would like to try it, especially if you think it is difficult, just get in touch, I will be happy to have a conversation and offer a tailor made solution: phone +48 669 84 00 62 or e-mail: info@onestepahead.pl
